Details
Project: LTE
IOT Testing Locations: Reston, VA Client: Sprint Corporation Job Profile: Working as an IOT engineer to test ALU core and eNB
software load with other vendors (e.g. Huawei, Samsung, NSN, Airspan) eNBs
using knowledge of 3GPP standards. Key Contributions: ·
Preparing a time line for IOT planning and execution. ·
Reviewing Supplier's baseline of IOT Lab environment to
confirm alignment on hardware, software releases, intended roadmap
functionality and expected performance. ·
Reviewing the Statement of Compliance ("SoCs")
(for Product-Vendors) with respect to the 3GPP standards, then prepare and
provide the S0C analysis report. ·
Performing necessary escalations (through the Services
Vendor) pertaining to the Product Vendor's equipment suppliers if issues go
unaddressed. ·
Participating in the effort to create IOT test plan (based
on 3GPP standard versions for LTE, CDMA and UMTS), IOT Test Configuration and
I0T Reports documenting IOT test execution results. ·
Execution of X2 IOT, S1 IOT, eCSFB IOT testing and capture
the network element logs and check the pass and failed logs with 3GPP standards. ·
Raise new CR in case test case log doesn’t compliance with
3GPP standards.
Project 1: LTE
IOT and Field Test Back Office log Analysis. Locations: Bangalore (India), Dallas (USA) & Santa
Clara (USA) Client: Intel Mobile Communication Job Profile: Responsibilities include debugging of failures seen
in IOT and Field Test of the LTE UE Stack. Failures need to be root-caused to
the right sub-component. Responsibility includes interacting with development
and test teams to ensure critical blocking bugs are resolved avoiding delay
in issues resolution by routing to proper sub-components of UE. Key Contributions: ·
System level analysis of Field test logs and identifying
issues. ·
Raising new CR and routing the issue to proper UE
subcomponent to help developer and minimizing their load. ·
Throughput testing carried out for static and mobility
test cases, which include file transfer (Upload/Download) using Total
Commander or Filezilla. ·
Providing AT command sequence document to testers to ease
test case execution. ·
Contributed to analyzing data stalls seen in field test
and IOT environment. ·
Analysis of issues related to low data throughput. ·
Analysing field testing logs captured in different
locations and providing support in case of any issues.
Project 2: LTE
Pre-IOT Test Case Development and Debugging Location: Bangalore, India Client: Intel Mobile Communication Job Profile: Responsibility includes design of scenarios that
would simulate failure of LTE UE stack in IOT and Field-testing and could be
automated using TTCN-3. The testing was done during conformance testing
thereby reducing the failures seen at IOT and Field Test levels. Scenarios
included testing of inter-operability robustness between layers of LTE UE
Protocol Stack, IRAT scenarios, collision, error and boundary conditions.
Scenarios were also designed keeping in the mind the real-time usage by data
users and failures occurring during it. Key Contributions: ·
Contributed for identification of scenarios for Phase-1
& Phase-2 of project. ·
Preparation of design documents for various scenarios in
accordance with LTE 3GPP standard.’ ·
Reviewed test cases and provided additions/changes.
Presented various test cases/scenarios to the business teams for approval ·
Feature testing includes Handoffs, iRAT Handoffs, Call
Forwarding, Call Conference, DTMF Pause etc. ·
Developing scripts using TTCN-3 compliant with ETSI
scripts and implementation of new features as requested by client. ·
Providing training to new team members for quick learning.
Project 3: 2G/3G
Handset Testing Location: Pune, India Client: Motorola Duration:
Oct-10 to Nov-11 Tools:
QXDM, QPST, QCAT Job Profile: Performing functional and regression testing
according to standard & internal/external specifications for test cases
provided by client. It includes executing of test cases and evaluating
performance of the Device under Test and reporting bugs. Key Contributions: ·
Working as Field Tester of phones supporting both UMTS and
GSM technologies. ·
Drive Testing - Mobility tests for various call related
and inter-RAT scenarios. ·
Capturing and analysing logs for layer 3 messages. ·
Error tracking, bug scrub “triage” meeting between test
and development teams.
Project 4: AT&T
Order Management System Fallout & Reconciliation Location: Pune, India Client: AT&T Duration:
Jan-10 to Oct-10 Tools:
PST/MST/SDP/MPS (OMS Tools), Toad Job Profile: Responsibilities include providing support in
identifying issues as per test plans and closely interacting with them to
enhance OMS performance. Key Contributions: ·
Involved in requirement clarification of various modes of
operation. ·
Master bench test case report preparation. ·
Performing Functional, Integration, System, Regression and
User Acceptance Testing (UAT). ·
Reviewing and updating the Test cases for requirements
coverage and completeness. ·
Maintaining test cases and test scripts to incorporate Bug
Fixes and new enhancements in each release. ACADEMIA
